Red Lucky Seven is an enhanced power trio from Belgium. Three strangers have found each other via the will to make awesome music which comes from many influences. The band’s strongest point is the fact that they have their own distinctive sound and they bring a lot of energy to the stage. They play in front of big crowds and the next day they are performing at a small pub, but every time they play as if it was their last…
Take all this and add a dedicated backing vocalist to the live performance and you got fireworks.

Gum is a loud, melodic band from Oklahoma City. Their music is brimming with graceful pop melodies married to jagged, inventive guitars; bringing to mind Interpol, Smith Westerns or Television. On August 23, 2014, Gum released their first, self-titled LP; which the Daily Oklahoman called “oddly beautiful…a record to share with your friends” and Bricktown 500 called “excellent.”

While serving as an instrumentalist and backup-vocalist in the Denver-based band The Stormcellars, singer/songwriter Calvin Armerding was writing his own songs in a basement apartment. The songs were rarely heard or rehearsed, but when he moved back to Upstate South Carolina in August of 2013, Calvin was determined to break up his one-man-band and find creative partners. The first step was reaching out to college friend Jeff Hennessy, with whom Calvin had played casually. Jeff’s sensibility and love of music significantly improves the scope and power of songs in desperate need of percussion. Calvin later met Shelby Price, who provides intuitive, laid-back harmonies that are so needed in many of his songs.
With roots spanning from Rockies all the way to the Carolina Blue Ridge, The Muchmores bring indie-folk sensibilities to bear on stories, protest songs, foot-stompers, and sweet melodies made … Read More »
Vocalists Torey Russell and Rachel Russell teamed up with DC-based producer Kent Heckaman in the summer of 2010 and the three collaborated to record songs that gravitate toward “non-traditional” folk tunes featuring the beautiful and often layered vocals of the Russell sisters. Sonnet Cottage released “Another Time” in 2012, and their debut album received critical acclaim for its meticulously recorded, melancholy acoustic songs. Many radio stations paid tribute as well, including spins on Sirius/XM Radio.
In 2012 Sonnet Cottage added the talents of guitarist Buddy Speir, and their forthcoming sophomore release “Half Written Story” now features the ethereal guitar textures that Speir often creates while not losing the acoustic structure from which the band was born.
“Beautiful guitars and strings, gorgeous female vocals, I’d like to hear more from this artist!” – Eric McLellan, A & R, Sire Records/Warner Bros

When you take a powerful voice with a touch of southern inflection, add great songwriting that paints pictures with vibrant lyrical images and sweeping melodies, and dress that up in a suit of rock ‘n roll clothes, what you get is Orchard Fire. At times reminiscent of Tom Petty’s Heartbreakers being fronted by Miranda Lambert, Orchard Fire is a country rock band that is equal and heavy helpings of both parts of it’s genre’s namesake.
The heart of this band are the songs. Songs that when stripped down to just Melissa Odom’s expressive alto, her acoustic guitar, the fiddle, and the mandolin, are patently country, almost bluegrass at times. Songs that tell stories of love and life in full color. The ringing, crunchy guitar work of Justin Odom and the big pocket drumming of his brother Jared Odom transport the … Read More »

Justin Garner and Nick Barker have been playing together on and off for 10 years – Nick producing Justin’s band Southpaw’s debut album and Justin playing on Nick’s last solo record. The last 18 months have seen them hunched over acoustic guitars hammering a bunch of ideas into songs. Justin loves Aerosmith and the Allmans, Nick loves the Replacements and Soul Asylum, so the self-titled album that resulted is a collision of all. Adding long time friend and collaborator “VENOM” on drums and Michael Hubbard (Downhills Home, Eagle and the Worm) to the mix, “The Heartache State” was recorded live and quickly with friend Shane O’Mara producing at his Yikesville Studio. It was just recently released this past February on Plus One records. They’re not reinventing the wheel… the old wheel still goes OK!

Formed in the spring of 2013 in Salt Lake City, UT, All Hope Contained created their own alternative/indie rock sound with influences from bands like Brand New, Radiohead, Weezer, Dashboard Confessional and Kings of Convenience. A hard-working, creative group that brings a fresh sound with lyrical hooks that you will find yourself singing.
To bring this to life, friends Chris Johansen (vocals, guitar) & Robbie Driver (lead guitar) reached out to Michael Wirth (drummer). They began working with recording engineer Aaron Dominguez at Annex Recording Studio to record their first self-produced album, Need I Say More…. The album was made available online July 2014; just in time for their first feature on Reverbnation.

Long Range Hustle, as a phrase, means thinking about the big picture and playing the long game. Long Range Hustle, as a band, means combining an eclectic set of influences into a harmonious mixture of Canadian rock – a sound that sticks with you long after the record player has stopped.
The band comes from all over, geographically and musically, but these days they like to call Toronto their hometown. They are Paul Brogee (Vox, Guitar, Violin), Olivia Brown (Bass, Vocals), AJ Fisico (Drums, Percussion, Vox), Jay Foster (Vox, Piano, Organ), and Josh Weiss (Guitar, Vox). Their diverse musical upbringings span rock, folk, classical, and jazz, and they fuse these differences together to create their own unique sound.
More than anything else, Long Range Hustle is a live band. An LRH show doesn’t pull any punches, leaving the stage soaked in sweat. … Read More »
