Clubhouse is an indie pop band based out of Columbus, Ohio. Max Reichert is the lead singer and guitarist, Ari Blumer is the lead guitarist, Zak Blumer is the drummer, Ben Saulnier is the bassist, and Mike Berthold is the keyboardist. The band’s music mixes the powerful sound of the ‘80s with today’s indie music scene. Influences include Walk the Moon, The 1975, The Griswolds, St. Lucia, and many others. The band aims to create a feeling of happiness and carefreeness that pushes people to get up and dance.
“To the Ocean,” Clubhouse’s debut single, was released on April 10, 2015. Another single followed by an EP is the band’s main goal at this time. This will be completed sometime in the summer, followed by the band beginning to travel and perform.
Max, Ari, and Zak met in their hometown, Pataskala, Ohio, where they began to write music together. Six years later, they formed the band as a trio. After meeting Ben and Mike, they quickly realized that they would be perfect additions to the group, giving it a more full sound
RadioX, Belgium’s first and only commercial English-speaking radio station, featured Clubhouse’s new single “To the Ocean” and wrote that Clubhouse’s “music single has been described as Indie pop with a tropical twist and is already a hot tip to make it on to many people summer playlist on Spotify.”
